Description
The Theodosian Walls are arguably the most defining monument of Late Antiquity. Begun, perhaps, as a response to Honorius' renovation of the Aurelian Wall in Rome, they proved to have astounding defensive capabilities, protecting Constantinople and preserving the empire for a further thousand years.
